Music

I started playing bass guitar when I was 16, and haven’t stopped since. Along the way, I’ve played in and started a bunch of bands, written a bunch of songs, played a number of one-off gigs, picked up some guitar and drum skills, studied music performance and composition at college, and served as a musician in a military band. I’ve played rock, jazz & experimental/avant garde, but punk will always be my first love.

Here are some of the music projects I’ve been working on:

leffties
(bass, guitar, vocals)

Literary punk / post-hardcore home recording project. Each song is based on a radical text that has inspired me.

The Last Man

Hard rock 5-piece, playing epic songs that are reminiscent of 90s grunge with a progressive twist.

Våke
(bass, 2018-present)
Norwegian folk-pop trio I join as a guest musician, playing mostly bass guitar, occasionally electric upright.

Comedy punk project playing songs where all lyrics were taken from television shows.
Self-published EP
Art / Experimental
(2000-2009)

Mostly at Wesleyan. Anthony Braxton’s large ensemble, compositions for Alvin Lucier’s class, the Middletown Creative Orchestra, and more.
Future Past

Free improvisational duo dedicated to long-form jams and sonic exploration. Two self-released albums, plus one that is lost forever.
Mr. Oblivious
(bass, 1997-1998)

High school punk band that started it all but never made it out of the basement. Bad songs with good friends.
