In the end, I feel like this website made my life seem a little too serious. I’m not always hunkered down by myself writing or making things. I also like to spend a lot of time with my husband, family and friends, hanging out, watching films, cracking jokes, and playing games.
As far as classic games go, I’m particularly fond of Scrabble, and have tried to play it with varying degrees of success in Spanish, Norwegian and Arabic. I’ll usually ante up for a hand of poker or blackjack. And I enjoy a bunch of modern board games, like Catan, Carcassonne, Dominion, Pandemic, and Wingspan. As far as video games go, I really haven’t kept up, but I’ll periodically play classic NES for nostalgia’s sake, and am always up for a round of Mario Kart or Goldeneye.
From my teens to early twenties I spent a ton of time playing roleplaying games. Like a lot of kids my age, I started out with Dungeons & Dragons, but moved on to Middle Earth Role-Playing (MERP) and related games by ICE, as well as the White Wolf universe. That’s something I’d be interested in getting back into.
